They will place another 8 water purification plants in remote communities

«The responsibility of a government is to work for families who will improved their living conditions and have better opportunities for development,» affirm the Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, at the head of the working meeting in the Table of the Construction  of the Peace, where they reported that through the joint investment of federal and state resources for 60 million pesos this year, around 400 video surveillance cameras will come into operation,  which the state will have more than a thousand equipment in service.

Aysa González also announced that his administration will continue serving remote communities that suffer severely from lack of water, since in the coming months eight new water treatment plants will be installed in the municipalities of Hopelchén and Calakmul.

At the meeting, the Superintendent of Commercial-Campeche Zone of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), Fabiola Durón Martínez, when presenting the first report of the subsidy program for electricity tariffs in the state, informing that from April to May they benefit almost 114 thousand Campeche families with direct support from the state government with more than 9.5 million pesos.

He explained that the beneficiary population represents 39 percent of the total number of users that the commission has, a figure that is automatically expected in the next period of June because they can already be counted every day in April and May, as long as the established consumption level is 800 kilowatts bimonthly.

During the meeting that he led in the House of Governors with federal, state and armed forces authorities, the governor reviewed the progress of the aid that continues to be granted to the families that were affected by the torrential rains that occurred more than two weeks ago, as well  the progress of the damage assessment subcommittees by sector.

Likewise, he reiterated to the population not to lower their guard in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and to the restaurant and hotel industries, which have restarted activities, fulfill with the implementation of health protocols to protect the health of customers and workers.

“We continue at a high risk of contagion level, which forces us to be very responsible in compliance with the hygiene and distancing recommendations; both service providers and users must abide by the measures of healthy distance and use of the mouthpiece and gel, «he said.

MORE ACTIONS OF WATER SUPPLY AND STRENGTHENING OF SAFETY

The governor also expressed his appreciation to the Federal Electricity Commission for the immediate response they gave to the request to connect the energy supply systems of 10 water purification plants in Calakmul, for which they were put into service yesterday.

On the issue of liquid supply, the General Secretary of the Government, Pedro Armentía López, announced that the state administration will continue to strengthen the strategy in communities suffering from shortages, since the installation of another five plants  of water in Calakmul and three in Hopelchén.

For his part, the executive secretary of the State Council for Public Security, Fernando Bolívar Galera, explained that with the bipartite investment of federal and state resources for 60 million pesos this year, around 400 new video surveillance cameras will be installed.

He pointed out that by the end of 2020 a figure of more than a thousand equipment in operation will be reached, since 600 are currently in service.

ADVANCES OF CARE FOR DAMNIFIED AND SITUATION OF AFFECTED COMMUNITIES

In his opportunity, the Secretary of Civil Protection, Edgar Hernández Hernández, explained that the affected population is gradually recovering, despite the fact that in the communities of Iturbide and Ukum, in Hopelchén, flood problems are still suffering, although the waters are already descending.

In the case of Champotón, he added that the river is decreasing in level and floods persist in  villages that are located next to it, including San Miguel, San Antonio del Río and Ulumal. The inhabitants continue to receive attention from the municipal authorities.

To the date, five temporary shelters have been enabled, one in Aguacatal and four in Champotón –Sihochac, San Miguel, Canasayab and San Antonio del Río-.

STATE OVERVIEW COVID-19

Later, the Health Secretary, José Luis González Pinzón, stressed that Campeche is one of the entities that has the less confirmed active cases and has observed a low count in the last two days. He also explained the plan of sanitary operations that was increased by the reopening of activities of the restaurant and hotel industries.

They attended the meeting the Secretaries of Public Security, Jorge Argáez Uribe; the attorney general, Juan Manuel Herrera Campos; the president of the Superior Court of Justice, Miguel Ángel Chuc López; the commander of the Third Naval Region, Octavio Trejo Hermida and the delegate of federal development programs, Katia Meave Ferniza.
