Due to the health emergency of #COVID19, the Health Secretariat of the Executive Power of the State, through the Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risks (COPRISCAM), carries out operations to comply with the extraordinary measures that are underway and that have as sole purpose to protect health, reduce mobility and contain risks throughout the state.

The head of COPRISCAM, Santiago Rodríguez Adam, reported that up to now, 4,837 sanitary supervisions have been carried out, and 45 establishments have been sanctioned with the total or temporary suspension of activities and services.

These sanctions are for reasons that vary such as: inadequate hygiene management, breach of the healthy distance between users; some food shops without the use of a face mask; shops open without being an essential activity, among others.

The only lines of business that should remain open, because they belong to the essential activity category, are the fundamental sectors of the economy: financial, food industry, supermarkets, supermarkets, grocery stores and prepared food sales; passenger and cargo transportation services; agricultural, fishing and livestock production, agribusiness, chemical industry, cleaning products; hardware stores, courier services, guards in private security tasks, among others.

Those for the conservation, maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure that ensures the production and distribution of essential services must remain open; that is to say: Drinking water, electricity, gas, oil, gasoline, jet fuel, basic sanitation, public transportation, hospital and medical infrastructure, among others that could be listed in this category.

Those turns or activities that are not in this list are considered non-essential, so they must remain closed.

In another aspect of health surveillance, there are establishments with sales of alcoholic beverages, which as of April 5, should not sell or allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages in all their graduations; the ordered prohibition must be followed.

To date, COPRISCAM personnel have carried out 73 operations to inspect and monitor the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, in various municipalities in the state of Campeche, a total of 887 establishments have been visited, and of these, 28 preventive closings for violating the current indication.

In addition to these operations, COPRISCAM has filed 52 complaints with the State Attorney General’s Office for the clandestine sale of alcoholic beverages and to date, the Prosecutor’s Office has dismantled 23 clandestine ones. These actions of inspection and surveillance in the ordinary way and by citizen complaint continue throughout Campeche, the fight against clandestination is permanent.
