During the morning conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Undersecretary of Health added that in municipalities with low or no transmission of the new coronavirus (Orthocoronavirinae), the measure will remain until May 17. In this condition are 979 municipalities, whose names will be announced later.
Among the high transmission areas are:

- Monterrey
- Guadalajara
- Puebla de Los Ángeles
- Tijuana
- Mexicali
