This Monday, it was reported that said people went to the mainland around 12:30 pm on Sunday, probably to stock up on food or fuel.

However, when they saw them walking astray in the town, municipal police officers approached them, questioned them and put them on the patrol because the use of face masks on public roads is mandatory and they did not carry them.

The three people were transferred to the Health Center of that municipality for a health examination as a protocol measure, where two were suspected of Covid-19 coronavirus.

Municipal police officers took the unknown persons to the patrol because the use of face masks is mandatory by state provision and they did not wear it. (Novedades de Yucatan)

Currently, the two foreigners are hospitalized and under observation, as the results of the medical exams arrive.

The place is protected by elements of the municipal and state police, as well as the National Guard.
